Our Classic Black ballet flat is the one most women keep in rotation longest. Made from soft, full-grain Italian leather that breaks in within a week and never feels stiff. The almond toe is shaped for narrow-to-medium feet — neither pointed nor blunt — and the leather sock liner is cushioned with 3 mm of memory foam, which is why our customers tell us they walk all day in them without the usual ballet-flat ache.

Designed for real wear

We rejected the slip-and-slide leather sole that you find on €400 designer flats. Our outsole is a flexible rubber laminate that grips wet pavement, lasts about 800 miles, and can be resoled by any cobbler. The elastic topline is hand-stitched (not glued) so it returns to shape after every wear.

Pair them with

Straight-cut pants for the office, midi skirts for weekend errands, slim-cut jeans for travel. They tuck flat into a 7-inch packing cube — the kind of shoe you carry as a backup but end up wearing every day.

• Upper: Italian full-grain leather (LWG Gold-rated tannery)
• Lining: Vegetable-tanned leather
• Insole: Memory foam, 3 mm
• Outsole: Flexible rubber laminate
• Care: Wipe with a damp cloth, condition with neutral leather cream every 3 months

Sizing

True to US size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller — the elastic topline gives ~5 mm. Size chart on every product image.
